"render.perfoverlayvisible 1" command
Here are some simple but useful tips to keep track of your game’s performance.
First off, Battlefield 3 has a number of commands that can be entered into its console. To bring up the console, press the tilde key, which is just above the tab key.
Type in “render.drawfps 1” and press enter to display your framerate in the top right corner of the screen as shown below.
Type in “render.perfoverlayvisible 1” and press enter to view a graph with details on your CPU and GPU performance as shown at the top of this post. The higher the line, the longer the time to render. So, you want to see low lines here with minimal spikes. Long render times indicate a performance bottleneck.
As many have noticed, player pings are not displayed in the score display (tab key) in BF3. It’s been said the following key combination will show your ping ingame: Ctrl + Alt + S. This will make the text box shown below appear in the top right corner of your screen. Update 11/20/11: The “IGO Time” was rumored to display ping. However, in my testing, this does not seem accurate. At this time, there is no accurate ingame display of ping. Update 12/8/11: See this post for details on the ping display under the “tab” menu.
As an alternative, I recommend clicking on the name of the server you wish to play on before joining. This will display the server detail screen, which you can refresh to view your ping. Although far from ideal, if you are having lag problems, you can use this method: when ingame, press Alt + Tab, refresh the page, and check the ping.

This tip is either incomplete or complete bull’ as I’ve just tried it:

Ctrl + Alt + S does absolutely nothing!
Are you in full screen mode rather than windowed mode? As long as you’re using the left Ctrl key and left Alt key along with “s” while in full screen mode it should be displayed while the keys are held down.
Thanks for the heads-up on the problem with Ctrl + Alt + S. This does not appear to work for everyone, and I couldn’t find any information on the cause of the problem.
However, with testing I found the “IGO Time” does not give you an accurate ping to the server, so this may indicate a different performance stat. Please see the update to this post for more information.

It looks like this command is working for some, but not others. I will check with some more people to see if I can find a reason it doesn’t work for everyone.
Ping shown in “us” aka micro seconds?
I’m not sure what the “us” abbreviation is for, but it lists the ping in milliseconds just as the server browser does.
That’s most likely the time to process a frame rather than the latency.
It works But I want it to stay up on there screen the ping .

Hey guyz , listen up , I have a problem with my fps and the crosshair , how can i put my fps in high range its only 60 in my PC and the cross hair is very big in the weapons and its not fixed , please help me up here …
What graphics card, CPU, and amount of RAM are you using? 60FPS is perfectly adequate, but it sounds like you’re running at a very low resolution if the crosshair is large.
If you have an LCD at 60hz and set the game to sync to screen refresh the fps will be capped at 60
I’m going to try to find out why the command doesn’t work for everyone and will update the post if I can find a reason.
